EDUCATION: Master's Degree in Counseling and Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA LICENSURE: Passed NBCC exam for State of Maryland and received LCPC (Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor) license to practice in my state. SPECIALTY TRAINING: Became Certified EMDR Therapist through EMDRIA in 2006.
WORK EXPERIENCE: 2000 - Present - Private Counseling Practice in Salisbury, MD 1996 - 2000 - Worked in private practice of Dr. Fred Bruner in Salisbury, MD seeing a variety of clients. 1988 - 2004 - Founded & directed "The Other Side: A Helping, Healing Place for Women" in Cambridge, MD, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation. The goal was to assist young women with unplanned pregnancies and other personal issues, to mentor expectant mothers with counseling and classes, and to provide professional personal counseling to low- income women with the assistance of grants/donations. PUBLICATIONS: "Songs of Deliverance: A Biblical Post-Abortion Healing Process for Individuals & Groups" is a workbook to help women heal from the aftermath of abortion. I have sold it nationwide since 1996 to individuals and counseling groups. "Self Test for Women About Abortion" is a questionaire to assess symptoms of post-abortion stress in women. TEACHING EXPERIENCE: Over the course of fifteen years I taught on the post-abortion issue on radio programs, through workshops for staff and volunteers of Crisis Pregnancy Centers in MD & DE, in local churches, and gave presentations to faculty and students at Liberty University. I taught Sunday School, VBS, Youth Choir, and played piano for church services throughout many years. I homeschooled my three children for twenty years, all to graduation.
